ESEA Out! Teamsters In! June 13th – What ESEA Won’t Tell You
Updated On: Dec 10, 2018
To all CCSD Support Staff Employees:
On June 13, 2018 the Nevada Supreme Court will hear the case that will determine who your union is. ESEA which has represented support staff has lost three consecutive representation elections to Teamsters Local 14. The last election Teamsters received over 4000 votes and ESEA received less than 900. But NSEA and ESEA went to court to block the election. Why? Because all they want is your union dues!
CCEA knows firsthand that NSEA and NEA are only concerned about getting your union dues. They can’t win for members but they want your money. CCEA finally said enough is enough and disaffiliated from NSEA and NEA on April 25, 2018. We lowered our union dues and provide better service then NSEA/NEA.
Support staff have an opportunity to finally have your day in court and get rid of the sellout and do-nothing ESEA. Did you know that instead of getting you a contract ESEA has been using your union dues to pay staff to interfere with CCEA’s union? Ask Virginia Mills who is out on release time on YOUR union dues what she is doing with your money. When CCEA left NSEA and NEA they lost $6.2 million each year of union dues. Now Virginia Mills is using your union dues to pay staff to help recruit teachers into a fake union for NSEA and NEA.
Contact Teamsters Local 14 for more information. Ask ESEA why they have not informed you of this important Court date.
We support your freedom from the dysfunctional sellout ESEA and NSEA.
