Grant has been with the Teamsters since 2011. A paralegal by trade, Grant decided to join the international union in 2011 as an Organizer. Grant took part in the Los Angeles Port Strikes, an American Airlines fight in Oklahoma, and a number of other organizing drives across the country. In 2014, he joined Teamsters Local 14 as a Contract Representative. Grant works on the majority of contract negotiations for Teamsters Local 14; he negotiated 16 different bargaining contracts last year alone. He has 6 children and was born here in Nevada.

Fred began his career with Local 14 in 2016, however he’s worked directly with the Local since 2005. He started his work with labor as a member of the UAW while working for General Motors. Fred joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, as a member, while working at Nevada Power Company in the early 1990’s. He spent 15 years in the electric utility business in the US and UK, developing productive working relationships with the IBEW, the Utility Workers Union of American and several trade unions in the United Kingdom.

Jason has been with the Teamsters since 1991. After serving in the armed forces, Jason joined the Teamsters as a UPS worker, then again as a valet attendant in 1993.
He served as a shop steward for several years before transitioning to his role as a Business Agent in 2000.

Tamura has been with the Teamsters for 26 years. She served as a Shop Steward and is now working as an Organizer/Business Representative for Teamsters Local 14. She was one of the lead organizers at Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe, helping to win the very first union contract at the hotel and casino.
Tamura represents Transportations at CCSD. She is currently involved in the Central Labor Council of Southern Nevada and with the AFL-CIO. Tamura is very passionate about the work she does; she believes strongly that every worker has the right to representation and to be treated fairly in the workplace.

Johnny joined Teamsters Local 14 as a Senior Business Agent in 2022. He started his career as a maintenance worker for Parks and Recreation with the City of North Las Vegas, took on a supervisory role in 2001, and retired after 8 years as Acting Manager. A shop steward and city employee for 22 years, he spent the last 4 years as Chief Steward for Teamsters Local 14.
Johnny is committed to equality and improving working conditions for all employees. He is happily married, with 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Eymyh has been with the Teamsters since 2013. She is the Business Agent for 14 different houses under Teamsters Local 14. A first generation Mexican immigrant, Eymyh started organizing at 16 when she lobbied the Governor of Nayarit to adopt a more just school tax.

Travis earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNLV. He worked with Labor Unions, handling their Health & Welfare, Pension, Vacation and Apprenticeship Training
Trust Funds, for 20 years.
Travis also serves as alternate trustee on the Teamsters Security Fund for Southern Nevada Local 14. When not at work he spends his time with his wife and 4 children. Travis enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, or hunting, and regularly attends his children’s sporting events.

Jay has been a member of the Teamsters for 19 years, joining as a Business Agent in 2019. Jay was a truck driver for Alternative Beverage/Johnson Bros for 6 years before moving on to Breakthru Beverage for the last 13.
As a member, Jay was a shop steward for 11 years and has integrated that experience into his new role as a Business Agent, saving numerous members from unjust termination and serving as the liaison between members and the union. Jay has 4 grown stepchildren and enjoys spending time camping with his wife.

Mark joined Teamsters Local 14 as a business agent in 2018. Mark organized and led the unionization effort at Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations, successfully winning a union contract in 2015, despite steep opposition from the Hilton mega-chain.
After serving as a steward for the union for 3 years, he joined as a business agent and participated in several organizing drives across the country; including California, Atlanta, Spokane, and Seattle.

Carolina has worked with Teamsters Local 14 since 2019. A former valet attendant, Carolina led the unionization effort for Valet at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Under her leadership, workers voted unanimously to adopt the union contract. She was a steward for the union for 9 years before joining the Teamsters as a Business Agent in 2019.
Carolina took part in the 2019 Los Angeles Ports strikes, where workers demanded they be identified as employees rather than independent contractors, and is now organizing custodians at CCSD. Carolina is a first-generation immigrant from Colombia and mother of four.

Debra has been a Titan Operator and Special Events Coordinator for the Teamsters Local 14 for 7 years. Debra ran a travel company for 27 years before joining the Teamsters, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in managing accounts.
Debra has hosted numerous events for the Teamsters Local 14 including Steward events, Christmas parties, and Wet N Wild summer days.

Christie joined Teamsters Local 14 in 2019. An Educational Support Professional for 13 years, Christie was an integral part of the campaign to unionize CCSD staff under the Teamsters.

Val joined Local 14 this year as Director of Communications & Digital Strategies. She’s a long-time community organizer and has directed and managed several progressive campaigns. Val has never been afraid of a fight. As a campaign director she took on several corporate-backed incumbents, and has substantial experience utilizing all forms of media as a tool for grassroots power.
